History of the
Plano Area NCL Chapter
The Plano Area Chapter was
started on February 8, 2000. Twenty-one women attended this initial
meeting of the chapter. At that time, a Board of Directors was elected
and over the next several months, many informational meetings were
held. This brought the membership up to 65 Patronesses and 74
Ticktockers.
After establishing the
by-laws, Ticktocker procedures, standing rules and transfer procedures,
the chapter was approved for Provisional status in September, 2000. The
chapter operated under Provisional status for one year and was advanced
to Charter status on September 10, 2001, at the National Board
meeting. On April 26, 2002, we received our official Charter at the
National Convention in Long Beach, California. As of January 2004, we
have a membership of 97 Patronesses and 112 Ticktockers.
